Coronavirus Clinical Updates & Protocols, April/May 2020

We call you our "MVP" for a reason. The health and wellness of our Most Valued Patients is our reason for being and our highest priority. With that in mind, you may have questions about your physical therapy visits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Below are the protocols that MVP Therapy & Sports Medicine has in place to protect you while you receive valuable care at our facilities.

  1. We have a no-touch check in process.  Your temperature will be recorded via touchless infrared thermometer and you will be asked to complete a brief verbal health questionnaire related to Covid-19.

  2. We are adhering to carefully calculated visit times to allow for the most valuable visit for you. Please be prompt.

  3. Our waiting room is closed. Unless the patient is a minor or has an essential caregiver who needs to be a part of the appointment, drivers and guests are asked to wait outside the clinic.

  4. Patients and Staff will wear masks. Patients need to bring their own mask and put it on prior to entering the facility. Staff will wear gloves when providing manual treatments. Patients may wear their own gloves if they choose.

  5. Patients will wash hands with soap at our clinical sinks upon arrival and departure, as well as during your session if we/you deem necessary. Staff is also following this procedure.

  6. You will be adequately distanced from other people without prolonged contact (under 6 feet) with other patients. Your physical therapist will wear medically PPE equipment to protect you during manual treatments.

  7. Hospital grade germicidal sanitizing spray is used on all clinic equipment and areas after each use.

  8. Clinic counters, door handles, bathrooms, etc. are disinfected hourly.

  9. We ask that you avoid unnecessarily touching things around the clinic, as our policy is that anything touched gets sanitized.

  10. If you have ANY symptoms of any kind (coughing, sneezing, allergies, etc.) please contact us ASAP to reschedule your visit.  We would prefer you call prior to entering the facility, if at all possible.

  11. Cancellation policy. It is our goal to limit any disruption to your care. If you have been instructed by your physician to quarantine for any reason OR if you are ill, we need to know. Please communicate with us about your status at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, or as soon as possible in the event you become symptomatic.

It is our goal to accommodate your concerns to the best of our ability, and continue to meet your therapy needs and goals at this trying time. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions.
